Events are a central part of our mission because they allow us to both establish a connection with the people whose lives we intend to impact and actively do the work of pursuing racial justice. When deciding how to host events and design programming, we root ourselves in the words of our mission and assess how we can really align our resources with realizing our vision. From there, we work collaboratively as a team and leverage strategic community partnerships to ensure that we are only executing some of the highest quality events.

We love hosting events because it provides us with an opportunity to embody our core values and spread love and joy throughout our communities. Some of our signature events are pop-ups throughout Detroit, Instagram live conversations and our annual wellness expo, Health Is Wealth Detroit.
